I have a love/hate relationship with my Touareg. It is awesome when it works, but it hardly works. I bought the vehicle used in December of 2008 with 64,000 miles. It was one year before the issues began. My water pump failed in December ‘09 at about 73,000 miles. Cost about $900. A month later some computer failed, which made the car not even work. Couldn’t drive past third gear. Cost $500. Had to replace my O2 sensors in March ‘10. Although it was not significant and I could still drive without them, I was advised to replace them before something bad came. Cost $800. Now my car is back in the shop. When you turn on the vehicle, it lights up like a Christmas tree. It could be something as stupid as new spark plugs or a failed sensor, or something major. Either way, I’m done with this vehicle.
