Story:
I bought the car new from one of those middle men that was recommended by GC VW in New Hyde Park, New York. I later find out that the car is considered a used car after I purchased it as new, so that it voids the warranty after five years. The module went after 3000 miles and I was told it wasn’t on the warranty because it was rusted. The damn thing is in the car, how can it rust. The half shafts went with the ABS sensor. They then found sludge on the top of the engine which in turn burned out the cam tensioners. The dealership held the car for three months and told me that I needed a total engine rebuild at $10 grand because I am out of warranty. They said that they took the engine apart and determined that. I had an independant mechanic look and the engine was never opened. He changed the tensioners for $1000 and he told me to dump the car. Never again, I always thought that VW was a great company. I will dance on their graves.
