I have always loved VWs until this last purchase of a 2002 Passat. After 78,000 miles, I need a new engine. The oil screen was clogged and caused my engine to seize. My oil changes were done regularly with maybe a couple misses, but that should not have happened. I am in the process of trying to get VW to pay for a new engine - I have a feeling that I will be getting an attorney to help with the fight. Any others out there and we can get a class action law suit going. I have never heard of a car with only 78,000 miles having the engine seize - especially a German import. I am so frustrated - you won’t see me in another VW in my lifetime!!!
