I always wanted a Passat. I thought they were really nice-looking cars. So I traded in my Honda Element for an ‘04 Passat GLS w/ Triptronic. I should have done more homework before purchasing the car.
After I bought the car, I discovered that the oil changes cost about $70, and they have to be performed every 5,000 miles. The car needs premium gas, with gas costing $3 a gallon now and the gas mileage is not the greatest - 22mpg most of the time except on long trips.
I just hate this car now. I want to get rid of it but dumb me - I’m in a lease so I am stuck with this bucket of crap for a few more years. I know once I can off- load it, I will be driving a Honda again!
